September 2022: Tracks from my Kvandal solo cd on Naxos/Grand Piano has been added to multiple playlists on Spotify recently, including Spotify´s own list "Classical Cooldown" - with 4.400 streams for one of the tracks in the last 28 days - and a total of 667.000 streams for that specific track. Countries include US, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, UK, Taiwan, Australia, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Japan, France, Norway, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Belgium, Turkey, Italy, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, New Zealand, Portugal, Denmark, Finland, Poland, South Africa, Ireland, Peru, Austria, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, South Korea and others.

Summer 2022: Very pleasant news coming in from Germany!

My album "Å her møter mangt - Songs by Johan Kvandal" together with the wonderful soprano Isa Katharina Gericke has been nominated in 3 categories for the German OPUS Klassik Award. The categories include "Instrumentalist des Jahres", "Solistische Einspielung Gesang", and "Sängerin des Jahres". In the "Instrumentalist des Jahres" category, I´m nominated alongside with amazing musicians such as Martha Argerich, Marc-André Hamelin, Leif Ove Andsnes, Vikingur Olafsson, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Ivo Pogorelich, Emanuel Ax, Daniel Barenboim, Philippe Entremont, Daniil Trifonov, Yo-Yo Ma and Olivier Latry.

July 2022: Very happy to be Artist-in-residence at Edvard Grieg´s home "Troldhaugen" in Bergen this summer! I will perform 20 lunchtime concerts, in addition to a full solo recital on July 7. Programme to include mainly works by Edvard Grieg.

Christmas 2022: Looking very much forward to this years´ performances of my Christmas work "HOPE - A new Ceremony of Carols". The work will among other places be performed on Nov. 26 by "Oslo Damekor" conducted by Marianne Husby Berg, with harpist Uno Vesje and soloist Ingrid Stige, at Bygdøy Church, Oslo.
